Allow user make some integration configurations

#1

Hi guys,
are you going to provide possibility to make some configurations while installing integration?
In our case webhooks URL should be configured to reach customers server (as it is on-premise product). So we cant predefine it for all.

thank you

Thanks for the question @zapelin,

are you going to provide possibility to make some configurations while installing integration?

We don’t have any solidified plans around this at the moment, but I’d be curious to hear more information so we can more fully consider the request and use case.

Is this an on-premise integration being installed on GitHub.com or GitHub Enterprise? Is there anything else you’d envision being customizable, or just the webhook URL?

So the scheme is next:
Our product being installed on customer`s server need to receive webhooks from either github.com or github enterprise. For doing that url path to our product should be specified while configuring integration on github (e.g. http://hostname/external/webhooks/github having unique hostname obviously).
For now it is the only issue that stops us from creating integration.

Also it worth thinking about webhook secret configuring for each user

Thanks for the additional details, @zapelin. That makes sense.

We’ll discuss this request and report back if we have additional questions or information…
