Commit date set by PC

Hi all,
I noticed something strange in repository commit. If I change the date on my PC, the commit in repository will take the PC date and not the server date. This let open the possibility to commit files in with a past date.

Is there something that I don’t know?

Thank you!

P.S.: Sorry for the english…

@LuMug This functionality is intentional; Git does not have a central source of truth.

You can even override the commit date so it ignores your computer’s clock. People use this functionality of Git to do creative things, like make pixel art in their GitHub contribution graphs:

@kytrinyx Thank you, I
didn’t know how date “registration” works. Bye!
