Install Apps when creating repository

#1

It would be cool if the form at https://github.com/new would let me show apps that get installed as well as select apps to install as the repository get created.

One use case that came up in a discussion yesterday was to use GitHub apps as a workaround for repository templates. It’d be fairly simple to build GitHub apps that setup a new Node/Ruby/Python etc repository using GitHub Apps.

But besides that, it would increase the visibility / usage of GitHub Apps I think

show apps that get installed

That would be neat.

use GitHub apps as a workaround for repository templates.

I have a use case for this. Right now I use a (very janky) script for this. If it were a GitHub App then other people could trigger it under the right circumstances, which would be handy for me.

select apps to install as the repository get created.

What would be the basis to select from?

The apps that I installed on other repositories (selectively)

Got it, that would make sense to me.
