Notifications and Events APIs seem to be missing

schema-request

#1

As far as I can tell, there is no way to achieve what is possible with the following REST APIs:

Events API - https://developer.github.com/v3/activity/events/
Notifications API - https://developer.github.com/v3/activity/notifications/

It’d be great to be able to access these via GraphQL because it’s a great fit for GraphQL strengths. Sometimes, you want to look up a few extra fields related to a notification or event, and with REST API, that requires additional requests. With GraphQL, in theory, one should be able to fetch everything one needs in one query.

How to use Github API for including feeds of my github account activity?

@shurcooL isn’t this the same?

#3

Yes, definitely related. Thanks for pointing it out.

 Hello!

I’ve added two schema requests to our internal tracker, one for events, and another for notifications. We’ll update you here as soon as we have more information.

#5

Any update on this? I’d really like to start building something based on the notifications data.

#6

Not as of yet. :disappointed: The fact is, we are also in the process of reworking out notifications infrastructure, which is sorely outdated.

#7

Hello, is there any update about events and notifications?

#8

Hi @zangqilong198812! This is being actively worked on, but we don’t have an update beyond that at this time.

#9

Any updates on this? I really love to get started on building something with these events and GraphQL… Also, it’s been a year now…

#10

Still looking forward to

Any update? :stuck_out_tongue:

Also please consider including the “User followed you” in the activities. I see that in the github.com website but not on the events rest api.
