Something went wrong while executing your query

#1

Hi, I am developing a demo which leverage github graphql api.
but i got some issues here.

my query is

query GetRepositoryIssues($states: [IssueState!], $name: String!, $login: String!, $before: String) {
  repositoryOwner(login: $login) {
    repository(name: $name) {
      issues(last: 5, states: $states, before: $before) {
        edges {
          node {
            id
            title
          }
          cursor
        }
        pageInfo {
          hasPreviousPage
        }
      }
    }
  }
}

my variables:

{
  "states": "OPEN",
  "login": "apollographql",
  "name": "apollo-client",
  "before": null
}

and then response error:

{
  "data": null,
  "errors": [
    {
      "message": "Something went wrong while executing your query. This is most likely a GitHub bug. Please include \"A6FE:179B9:1220809:174B955:58B6BDCE\" when reporting this issue."
    }
  ]
}

but when i change my variables to:

{
  "states": "OPEN",
  "login": "facebook",
  "name": "react",
  "before": null
}

the response just fine:

{
  "data": {
    "repositoryOwner": {
      "repository": {
        "issues": {
          "edges": [
            {
              "node": {
                "id": "MDU6SXNzdWUyMTA1MDE0ODc=",
                "title": "[Fiber] Investigation: what internals have direct dependencies on Stack modules?"
              },
              "cursor": "Y3Vyc29yOjIxMDUwMTQ4Nw=="
            },
...

https://developer.github.com/early-access/graphql/explorer/
reproduce easily here

btw, i wonder why i need a github authentication to get backend thing, while it doesn’t need when using RESTful API…

Same here https://medium.com/@katopz/how-to-search-with-github-graphql-e6c142dc61ed#.shba60che

{
  search(query: "language:JavaScript stars:>10000", type: REPOSITORY, first: 10) {
    repositoryCount
    edges {
      node {
        ... on Repository {
          name
          descriptionHTML
          stargazers {
            totalCount
          }
          forks {
            totalCount
          }
          updatedAt
        }
      }
    }
  }
}

got

{
  "data": null,
  "errors": [
    {
      "message": "Something went wrong while executing your query. This is most likely a GitHub bug. Please include \"EC64:5BF5:C3DC7D:FCEBBE:58B6EBDA\" when reporting this issue."
    }
  ]
}

Which is work before but not anymore.

Thanks y’all! I opened a ticket to investigate.

#4

This should now be fixed!

#5

Yes, it works now ! thx

I have a small question
Can i leverage github graphql api without user oauth ?

just like get some user infos by REST api.

#6

Not at this time, no. You must be an authenticated user during this alpha period.
